Maps & Meetings

Creating a tactile documentation of thoughts.

Maps and Meetings is a documentation of Singaporean artist Hafiz Osman’s residency project in Paris. This project invites Parisians to draw maps of where they live on the artist’s clothes with pen markers.

To accompany the exhibition, and as a documentation, the text of the book was printed in the same red and blue marker colours used in the artwork of the artist. The front cover of the book was designed to look like it was imprinted all the way through to the back cover, to reflect the idea that the places that an individual knows can be imprinted in his or her memories.
