Nude Collection

A tactile approach to decorating ceramics.

This understated series explore the natural colour and character of various clays by combining and manipulating the materials to create graphic patterns with contrasting textural qualities. The resulting bodies exhibit a hushed beauty with their nakedness, as bare clay is rendered into ceramic form.

These pieces in Nude are made from different clay and finished with no glaze on the exterior. Differing rates of drying and shrinkage and expansion in firing are tested to ensure that the structural properties of the body is not compromised.
